What is the Montessori Teacher Training?
All CASA teachers in Regina Maria Montessori underwent training in the Montessori Method. The training period starts during the summer. Then they have to work as an "intern" or as an assistant under a senior teacher or CASA directress and work with children for one schoolyear. They have to learn how to do Montessori presentations in all areas of the Montessori curriculum : Practical Life Exercises, Sensorial, Language, Math, Cultural Arts (Science, Geography, History, Art, P.E., Music). They make numerous classroom materials especially in the Language area. They have to learn how to observe the child and make general and individual observation reports and make progress charts.
